Modular Ramp Installation
Modular metal ramp systems are compliant with Document M of the Building Regulations and almost any configuration is possible depending on the required gradient and space available. Supplied in easy to assemble module components, straight, L shaped and 180° return ramps can be designed. The standard colour is dark green, other colours can be specified.
They are more economical, easier to install and have a lower carbon footprint than concrete ramps.
Ramps and supports
All platform and ramp walkways are fully galvanised with a multi-directional slip resistant surface. They are quick and easy to install, have excellent drainage properties and hand rails are available to fit all sizes.
The supporting legs and feet are manufactured from galvanised steel and the legs come in various sizes with two different feet options. A standard rigid foot, or a self levelling foot which can adjust to the slope of the ground, removing the need to undertake expensive ground works.
Toe plates are available in different widths to accommodate varying ramp sizes, providing a safe and perfect finish to every ramp.
Handrails and Connectors
Galvanised steel handrails with slip-resistant powder coating are complimented by high quality rail connectors providing a smooth continuous handrail.
Straight, angled and corner connectors are available to ensure that all handrails achieve a smooth continuous line. The soft-touch outer coating provides a positive grip and warm feel. Manufactured from TPE and nylon, that’s UV stabilised and suitable for temperature ranges between -20 and +50°C.
Key Dimensions:
- 900mm high roll top rail
- 600mm high mid rail
- 100mm high kerb
- 42mm diameter top rail
Gate & Step Units
The design of the gate and step unit provides a long lasting and virtually maintenance-free means of access for ambulant users bypassing the ramp. The unique hinge and pin design prevents the gate from swinging too far into the ramp.
Infill Panels
For additional safety and security, infill panels can be specified in environments for children, available in a mesh or solid panel designs.
Manufactured from galvanised steel and coated to match the handrails, this product is functional and stylish.
Solid panels are typically specified in environments where there is a risk to small fingers being caught; schools are increasingly looking to this type of solid infill panel to solve that very problem.
